PURITY

1Thessalonians 4:7-8

7.” For God did not call us to be impure but to live a holy life. 8. Therefore anyone who rejects this instruction does not reject a human being but God, the very God who gives you His Holy Spirit.

As Christians, we have a calling to be pure. Therefore we can say sin is inconsistent with who we are in Jesus Christ. Once you reject purity as a Christian, you have rejected God. This calling is meant to PREVENT sin and not to REBUKE it. To prevent sin and stay true to our calling, God gave us the Holy Spirit who empowers the willing, trusting Christian to overcome through faith. God has given us all the resources we need to be able to stay true to our calling and remain pure but it is up to us as Christians to know how to use these resources. The Holy Spirit is always there you have to get to know Him and understand when He is helping you stay true to your calling.

Titus 1:15
